Here’s a genuine slice of computing history: the Epson HX-20, widely considered the first true laptop, complete with its built-in micro cassette drive, thermal printer, and LCD display housed in its original hinged carrying case. This example shows honest wear from decades of use — a yellowed keyboard deck, some surface grime around the cassette bay, and a scattering of taped-in paper notes and old business cards left inside the case lid from its working life. Sold as-is, it’s a tactile piece of tech history for the collector who wants function alongside provenance, not a polished display piece.
